1970 Multi Signed Dick Dugan Framed Frank Stranahan Picture
This 10"X15" 1/2 matted and framed to 18"X22" black ink rendering was presented to Frank Stranahan in 1970 on the occasion of Frank Stranahan Day. This original one of a kind piece was drawn by Dick "Doodles" Dugan. The renowned cartoonist and caricature artist whose works appeared in the Cleveland Plain Dealer from 1962-2000. Among Dugan's many artistic accomplishments are the design of the Cleveland Brown's "Brownie" mascot along with the team logo for Cleveland's NBA based team the Cavaliers. Below this excellent artwork,on the white textured paper, 15 of the 19 living Masters Champions,at the time, have hand signed their autographs with precise ink pennings grading out at a minimum of "9" strength with most hitting the desired "10" level. This treasure presents the seldom seen opportunity to acquire this many Masters champions autographs on one item that includes the likes of early winners Ralph Gudahl, H.G. Picard, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan.

Frank Stranahan twice in his memorable golf career came very close to joining this elite group of past Masters champions with his second place finishes in both the 1947 and 1953 Masters.
A portion of the Frank Stranahan collection proceeds will be donated to The First Tee of Lake Erie.
James Spence Authentication(JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
