1887 'The Art of Golf' 1st Edition Book by Sir W. G. Simpson & Bart
The Art of Golf. Edinburgh, 1887, first edition, illustrated with plates from photographs and figure drawings, original pictorial boards. A must book for any serious golf book library, this 1887 first edition is in good condition. Contains excellent photos of Tom Morris and Ben Sayers driving the ball. This is the first book to have purportedly used photography to show how to hit various shots. A nice and interesting compendium of 19th century golf covering many different aspects of the game.

3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS at the time of auction close will close at 10pm ET
