1897 Harper's Weekly Cover - July 21st - Framed
Harper's Weekly Journal of Civilization is known as one of the premier turn-of-the-century publications for golfing artwork. This July 21, 1897 example includes soft coloring to add to the incredible detail of the golfers clad in time-period attire. An introduction of sorts between a male and female golfer takes place on this Harper's Weekly Cover, with a small caption below it. Harper's Weekly was of course centered around American politics, with humor and illustrations rounding out each of it's issues from 1857 until 1916. Measures 13" x 18" framed and is in fine condition with some creasing and wear. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
