Detailed etching of Scottish thistle adorns the center of this turn-of-the century contestants pin from the 1904 Scotland vs England matches. Contested by the Professional Golfers Association the reverse of early contestants pin is etched with name of participant C. Coburn. This was a battle for supremacy at the site of the games origin. When these pins, which seldom surface,have appeared at auction they have been prized lots.
