1913 USGA Open Championship at The Country Club Brookline Pin - Extremely Rare

Presented here is a true gem - a scarce badge pin from the 1913 USGA Open Championship held at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass. won famously by Francis Ouimet over Harry Vardon and Ted Ray. This colorful beauty has all the trimmings of a museum quality piece packed into its 1" diameter construction. We are quite certain this badge witnessed one of the legendary golf events of all time - if only it could speak to tell us it’s story. This pin badge could have been issued to a contestant, patron, dignitary, or official but we are not quite certain. In any event it is extremely rare and quite desirable. Don’t let this piece get away. This item was sourced from a time period scrapbook featuring area sporting events such as Harvard football.
