1916 Midlothian C.C. Four R Challenge Hand Hammered Trophy Won by M.D. Rutherford
Many amateur and professional tournaments have been contested at Midltothian over the years. Walter Hagen defeated Chick Evans to win the 1914 U.S. Open at Midlothian - the first of his 11 major championships. South African Bobby Locke won the Chicago Victory National Open in 1948 and Billy Casper won Western Opens at Midlothian in 1969 and 1973. Both Pater Filius. The trophy measures 12 1/4" from handle to handle and stands 4 1/2" tall.
