1917 PGA War Relief Tournament International Match Scotch Team Medal - Jock Hutchison
Only a year into the Professional Golfers of America's newly established Championship they World War I cancelled the tournament for more years than it had been played. While it was started back up in 1919, in similar fashion to the USGA and their US Open Championship the PGA pivoted and held a tournament to help with war relief efforts. Doubling as a tournament to fill the void, this offering is for then Scottish star golfer Jock Hutchison. Hutchison would not become a US Citizen until 1920, promptly winning the following year's Open Championship as a Yankee. This scalloped edge medal uses red, white and blue enamel to decorate the United States Flag and red and blue on the opposing British team. Over a century old, this medal is in good condition with it's makers mark and "International Match - Scotch Team."

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15-minute time period (at 10pm ET, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you**
