1927 US Amateur Championship Program - Minikahda Club - Bobby Jones Winner
This program is a must have for Bobby Jones Collectors , program has some writing in upper left hand corner and noticeable wear on corners. Program is intact and displays very nicely and these flaws do not take away from the program.
The USGA, 11 years after the US Open, made a return trip to Minikahda for the U.S. Amateur Championship. Bobby Jones was ready to return to the top of his game after missing the title the previous year. Jones crushed Chick Evans in the final, 8 & 7 as he registered the third of his record five titles. In the semifinals, Jones wiped out two-time Amateur winner and 1913 U.S. Open champion Francis Ouimet, 11 & 10, prior to his easy victory over Evans. Some might say this would be one of his more dominating victories of his illutrious career.
