1927 'Golf Architecture In America' 1st Edition Book by George C. Thomas Jr.
"Golf Architecture in America: Its Strategy and Construction" by George C. Thomas, Jr. First Edition and published in 1927 the times-mirror press. Hardcover, leather bound. Any fan of golf, the architecture, or both would need this book as a cornerstone of their collection. Illustrated throughout and contains many early pictures of places such as Pine Valley. George Thomas Jr. was born to a wealthy banking family in Philadelphia in 1873 and died in Beverly Hills in 1932. Best known for the three world-class courses he designed in Los Angeles: Bel-Air, Los Angeles Country Club, and Riviera. Great condition with foxing only present on first page, please refer to the photos. All bookplates are present.

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, March 3rd, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
