"This is the swing Francis Ouimet employed in 1913 when at the age of 20, he beat Harry Vardon and Ted Ray in a plaoff for the United States Open golf title." The caption of the over-night American Hero reads on the verso of this wire photo featuring a close posed post-swing shot of the US Open and US Amateur champion.
