1929 US Open at Winged Foot Badge with Ribbon - Bobby Jones Winner!
The 1929 United States Open, contested at Winged Foot Golf Club, saw Bobby Jones open with a first round 69, his sensational 31 on the back nine outstanding in all regards. At the end of four rounds of play Jones remained tied with Al Espinosa. The 36-hole playoff the next day saw Jones put a staggering 23 stroke exclamation point win in posting his third US Open Championship. Bobby Jones' performance was outstanding during the '29 Championship, remaining one of his signature moments. Legendary Course Designer A.W. Tillinghast crafted the exacting course that is Winged Foot which saw its first round played in 1923. Bobby Jones major winning material from the peak of his career as the darling of the "Golden Age of Sport." The ribbon reads” 33rd National Open Golf Championship, Winged-Foot Golf Club, June 27-28-29, 1929. The front side of the blue ribbon is slightly deteriorated, but the attached Winged Foot emblem medal is in good condition and remains highly presentable nearly a century past its issuance.

Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 10:00pm EDT Sunday, June 19th. When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm EDT
**Once extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
