1930 The Golfer's Year Book
A gentleman named George Trevor, then a sportswriter for the New York Sun, famously phrased Jones' four Major triumphs in 1930 as Jones "stormed the impregnable quadrilateral of golf." This event captivated the minds of most 1930's Americans whether they were golf fans or not, offering the opportunity to see one of the grandest moments in the Golden Age of Sport, Bobby Jones' accomplishment as the only player to win the pre-Masters era Grand Slam. This book details the noteworthy tournaments that were played in 1930, a closeup of Bobby Jones' name in the US Amateur competition on page 31 of this tome and shown in the accompanying lot photos. Please note that some tape has been applied to the spine.
