1930 US Amateur at Merion Cricket Club Program - Bobby Jones Completes Grand Slam!
Offered in this lot we have a 1930 program from the final leg of the Grand Slam of Majors won by Bobby Jones. George Trevor sportswriter for the New York Sun would phrase Jones' four Major triumphs in 1930 as such, "stormed the impregnable quadrilateral of golf." This is one of the tougher golf programs to locate in any condition, and like Jones' performance in 1930, this one excels. This publication of the United States Golf Association provides great insight to a year of Bobby Jones's previously unaccomplished feats. Program remains in good condition with slight cover surface wear and binding separation. NEW AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, May 23rd. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. The countdown clock will be set for a 30-minute interval. Each lot will have it’s own 30-minute countdown. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
**Once extended bidding starts at 9pm ET, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
