This beauty is an original wire photograph featuring Harrison Johnston, defending US Amateur Champion, at the 1930 US Amateur at Merion Cricket Club opening round. Here, the defending champion is pictured with Ellsworth Giles in the event which became legendary when Bobby Jones won the Grand Slam in dramatic fashion a few days later.
