1931 Mixed Foursome Exhibition at The Scioto Country Club Sunday Ticket - Excellent Condition
Admitting one to the Mixed Foursome event that followed the 1931 Ryder Cup matches held at Scioto Country Club, this event concluded only the third playing of the Ryder Cup matches and comes directly from the hosting organization PGA of America from its PGA REACH archives. Following a detailed review of this 1931 against the other known cleanest examples existing it is deemed that this is one of the most noteworthy example of an early Ryder Cup ticket known to exist, a great collecting treasure from Golf’s most respected team competition. The rectangular shaped Mixed Foursome ticket still to this day retains its original royal blue colored attaching string which is one asset which it holds over some of its closest rivals. The tan color with deep set typeset printing give this gem unparalleled eye appeal. The ultra fresh appearance of this ticket belies its age, grading in excellent condition. Few pre-World War II Ryder Cup tickets exist to meet the demand of the most discriminating golf hobbyists. The ticket's reverse boasts a time-period A.G. Spalding & Bros. advertisement. This offered piece is magnificent! Indisputable Mint condition.
