1933 Bobby Jones Sport King Goudey Card No. 38 PSA Good 2 #55026443
Parted out from the original 87 year old wrapped gum and graded by industry leader PSA comes this encapsulated 1933 Sport Kings Bobby Jones golf card #38. The Sport Kings set contained just that, athletes from across the world of sport. A set that included football's Jim Thorpe, baseball's Babe Ruth, as well as fellow golfers Gene Sarazen and Walter Hagen unsurprisingly garners significant interest in the hobby. As Babe Ruth in the same time frame had revolutionized baseball, Bobby Jones had changed golf as we know it. Bobby Jones unquestionably remains among the most desirable in the historic card set along with sporting cohort Ruth, with recent estimates of a Babe Ruth #58 card up for auction with a PSA 9 grade expected to fetch north of $5 million. While the specimens are different, this expected number gives a ballpark idea of what the Bobby Jones from the same set is capable of. This authentic graded 'Good 2' features the suave Bobby Jones with a post-swing pose on a navy blue background looking over a golf scene silhouette in the foreground. This recently graded card is keeping with the industry market, looked upon favorably among collectors and investors alike.

Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, June 20th. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its own countdown clock set for a 30-minute interval starting at 9pm ET. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
