1933 Ryder Cup Monday Order of Play & Start Times - Supplement to Official Program
Advertising itself as a 'Supplement to the Ryder Cup Official Souvenir Program,' this was printed for the Monday Foursomes listing pairs including Gene Sarazen and Walter Hagen (usually on-course foes) and Craig Wood and Paul Runyan. Surprisingly Sarazen and Hagen would only gain a half of a point against Peter Alliss and C.A. Whitcombe en-route to US Team only notching 1 1/2 points to Great Britain's 2 1/2 for the round. The pairing sheet is scored by a patron that witnessed it all. The navy blue print remains strong, with the interesting fact that Billy Burke was not picked for the US Team until after the 'programme' was produced - with his photo not included in the publication.
One of the most captivating finishes in Ryder Cup history would come in only the fourth playing! As the 1933 Ryder Cup came to a climax in England, with 15,000 spectators eagerly following the action, the final singles match between Britain's Syd Easterbrook and American Denny Shute would be worth the price of admission. Easterbook and Shute were all square on the final green facing par putts of approximately 30 feet each. It would be Easterbrook to putt first - leaving his approach putt within tap-in range. Shute hit his first putt four feet past the hole and missed the comeback putt. With this the trophy went back to Britain and the series was tied 2-2!

Each lot has its own 30 minute countdown clock during extended bidding. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
