Contained in this offering are 1933 US Open at North Shore GC Wire Photos - Olin Dutra & Frank Walsh - June 7th & 10th. Olin Dutra is seen taking a drink of water after enduring the hot conditions of North Shore GC, with Frank Walsh hitting a shot during a practice round on the other wire photo. Amateur Johnny Goodman went on to win the 1933 U.S. Open (becoming the fifth and final amateur to this day to win the Championship). The closest an amateur has come to a U.S. Open title since 1933 was in 1960 when a young Jack Nicklaus was the runner-up, two strokes back. These photos are in good condition and contain the media captions from the 1933 US Open on the reverse. Approx 7" x 9."
