1940 Women's Western Open Championship Program - Babe Zaharias First Major - Excellent Condition
Played at Blue Mound Golf and Country Club, this program from the 11th Annual Open Championship for Women is in excellent near mint condition. The Women's Western Open ran from 1930 til 1967. When the LPGA was founded in 1950, they recognized all the Women's Western Opens as Major championships. Babe Zaharias won the 1940 tournament as an amateur, defeating Mrs. Russell Mann 5 & 4 to claim her first LPGA Major win. This is sure to display well in any collection.
