1946 Third Annual Philadelphia Inquirier Invitation Tournament Program with Herman Barron Cut
Last played in 1949, the tournament had a very short lifespan. As a liaison with the PGA, Fred Byrod was the Inquirer employee who acted as tournament promoter. Herman Barron was the winner that year, and a signed 3x5 accompanies this great condition program. This victory was only one year following the 1945 event where Byron Nelson won the seventh of his record-setting 11 consecutive victories. It was held at Llanerch Country Club.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
