1947 North & South OpenFrank Stranahan's Low Amateur Sterling Silver Bowl
As Frank Stranahan closed out a very succesful 1947 year which saw him finish second in both the Masters and British Opens, he competed in November in the 45th edition of the North and South Open. Over 72 holes at Pinehurst, Stranahan finished at 298 claiming low amateur honors by two strokes.The bowl he won as Low Amateur is offered in this lot with etchings which read:

A portion of the Frank Stranahan collection proceeds will be donated to The First Tee of Lake Erie.
