1948 US Open at Riviera CC Final Rd Ticket #0790 - Ben Hogan 1st US Open
The 1948 US Open was played at Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades in California. This tournament marked the first of a record tying four titles US Open titles for Ben Hogan. In this tournament, Hogan gave a tremendous performance and beat the previous course record by five strokes. His record would remain intact for 19 years. Due to his great success throughout the years, the course is nicknamed "Hogans Alley". Displayed in this lot is a 1948 US Open Final Round Saturday ticket. The ticket is has sustained some blemishes over its 70 years. It is missing a string and has multiple creases present through the middle. Overall, all corners are intact and it is in a presentable condition. The first title in his country's championship was always recounted by Hogan as one of the finest moments of his career. The dimensions of this ticket are 6 1/8" x 2 3/8."

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, June 16th (Father's Day) with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
