1950 Canadian Open Competitor Badge #29


In 1950, at the Royal Montreal Golf Club, Jim Ferrier won the first of two consecutive Canadian Open tournaments. Presented here is a great condition competitor badge from that 1950 Canadian Open, it measures 3" in diameter

This badge belonged to Ralph Hutchison. Hutchison was the head pro at Saucon Valley for nearly forty years. Ralph was also the 18th green announcer for the Masters from 1947 till 1972. In 1954 he won the Philadelphia Open. Hutchison played in six US Open championships. He also made the quarterfinals in the PGA Championship, twice, when it was match play.
