1950 Titleholders Open Golf Championship Ticket - Babe Zaharias Major Win

1950 was an historic year for Babe Zaharius. You could say she completed a Babe “Slam” of sorts having won 3 majors that year including this Titleholders championship as well as the 1950 Women’s Western Open and the 1950 USGA Women’s Open. In the 1950 Titleholders championship she would defeat Claire Doran with an 8-stroke victory at the Augusta Country Club. According to the LPGA Babe Didrikson Zaharius won 10 majors: the 1940-, 1944-, 1945-, and 1950-Women’s Western Opens, the 1947, 1950, and 1952 Titleholders Championships, and the 1948, 1950, and 1954 U.S. Women’s Opens. The “Babe” was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1951 and the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. She won a total of 41 LPGA tournaments. As women’s golf grows in stature and prestige around the world, so does the demand for its’ related historical memorabilia and this ticket, from one its’ most prestigious players, should be considered highly collectible and sought after.
