1951 Ryder Cup Playing Captain Badge Sam Snead

The 1951 Ryder Cup was held in Pinehurst. Sam Snead captained and played for the US Team. Snead would go 4 and 1 in his matches on the famed Donald Ross No. 2 course. Arthur Lacey captained the Great Britain team but did not play. This original and beautifully embroidered and colorful badge/patch does not appear to have ever been sewn or pinned to a blazer and thus remains in very nice condition. A scarce and prized memento from the 9 ½ to 2 ½ USA win that would look great in any Ryder Cup collection 3 1/4" x 3 3/4"
