1952 All American Amateur Golf @Tam O'Shanter Stranahan's Winner's Sterling Trophy
With his August 3rd, 1952 stroke play triumph at Chicago's Tam O'Shanter Country Club, Frank Stranahan claimed the All-American title for a fifth straight year. The trophy for this victory like everything else involved in a George May hosted event is first class. This Sterling stunner features a raised relief of the Tam O'Shanter - Country Club - Chicago. A side engraving is inscribed: The - All American - Men's Amateur - Golf - Tournament - 1952.
The final engraving on this champion's cup consists of: Winner - Frank Stranahan - Inverness Country Club - Toledo, Ohio. Underside is engraved: Sterling on this 2 7/8" diameter and 3" tall winner's trophy.
A portion of the Frank Stranahan collection proceeds will be donated to The First Tee of Lake Erie.
