1952 US Open at Northwood CC Contestant Badge - Julius Boros Winner

Under the brutal Dallas, Texas sun Julius Boros calmly shot a blistering 68 in the third round of the 1952 United States Open to sit atop the leaderboard at 210. His final round 71 sealed the Championship for the Hall of Famer Boros. This marks the first time The Golf Auction has offered the '52 Contestants Badge, of which a scantly few number of 142 were distributed to players in the field. The verso contains a slight tarnish (reported only for the benefit of the most fastidious). The front side enameling, in both its application and its purity, is to the ideal--perfect with no imbalances in the surface. The metallic finish, as well, is without qualification. Ultimately, this '52 U.S. Open Contestants pin is NM/Mt.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on November 22nd with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
