1953 US Open at Oakmont CC Grounds Ticket #2206 - Hogan Win!
1953 was yet another successful year for Ben Hogan. He won his fourth US Open which contributed to a total of three major wins within that same season. Featured is a 1953 US Open grounds pass. The 53rd open was played at Oakmont Country Club. In this tournament, Hogan walked away with a six stroke win over Sam Snead. Over the years Oakmont Country Club has hosted nine United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women's Opens. That is more combined USGA and PGA championships than any other course in the U.S.. Oakmont's 175 bunkers, hard greens, and narrow fairways give this course a high degree of difficulty that demands respect from all players. This grounds pass has the original string still intact and no outstanding wear.
