Cary Middlecoff blitzed the field to win the 1955 Masters by seven strokes over Ben Hogan. This was no surprise victory for Cary Middlecoff remains one of the most underrated golfers in the history of the game, despite his World Golf Hall of Fame status. A reason for this oversite may be the short window he was at the top of his game, and also that he was overshadowed by flashier stories in the 1950's mainly Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. In this time period, along with his Masters title Middlecoff also captured the 1949 and 1956 U.S. Open Championships. His 28 PGA Tour titles set the standard for for most victories by any player in the 1950's. Your chance is here in this auction lot to own an outstanding autographed piece on this great player who ranks 9th on the all-time Tour win list. This lot comes with an 8X10 image of Middlecoff which has been joined in a deluxe wood frame with a 3X5 black ink signed index card ('9" sig strength).Additional accents to this framed beauty are a nameplate and vintage Masters "starburst" ballmark. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and provides their letter of authenticity for the signature.

Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
