A Three pack of collectibles relating to the 1955 Ryder Cup includes Thunderbird course map and pairings sheet, the site of the 11th Ryder Cup. Secondly, a rare team crest patch for the 1955 Ryder Cup matches. Third item is a standing team photo of the 1955 United States squad (seldom scene). The pairings sheet is from a tournament held weekend prior to the 1955 Matches at the same Thunderbird course where Ryder Cup matches were held. (both sides shown) Of note included on this sheet is a first year player who had just joined the Tour full-time in 1955, Arnold Palmer. The 'King" would play in 30 events that year making 26 cuts.

This lot comes from the Warren Orlick collection, over the next few auctions we will have many pieces from his estate. Warren was a past PGA President and had the nickname "Mr Rules". Warren never missed as a Masters Rules Official from 1957 - 2002. Also Ryder Cup Official from 1953 on. He was the First Rules Official to serve in all 4 majors (1996 British Open, His trip paid by the R&A and honored at dinner), also was instrumental in having the word Caucasian struck from the PGA Constitution. Also, Augusta National presented him with a service award in the early 2000's. These Lots from his collection have been kept in great shape and would be a great addition to any collection.
