1956 Masters Tournament Brochure/Ticket Prospectus - Jack Burke Winner
The 20th Anniversary of the inaugural Masters Tournament saw Jack Burke, Jr. win his first Major Championship only months before he would claim his second. The Champions Club co-founder and Texas native passed red-hot amateur Ken Venturi after scorching back from a record 8 shots back in the last tournament not to have a 36-hole cut. A deal with CBS was in place, allowing 1956 to be the first Masters Tournament that was able to be viewed on the television. 97 year old Jack Burke Jr. is know for being one of the superb gentlemen in the game of golf and still active at the Champions Club in Texas. This 1956 Masters Tournament Brochure/Ticket Prospectus is in good condition.
