1960 Masters '7th Green - Augusta' Arthur Weaver Signed 'The Masters' Print
The world renowned landscape artist's depictions of Augusta National greens are some of the most presentable pieces in the hobby. Presented here is his work from the 1960 Masters titled "7th Green - Augusta, GA". Weaver's details are spot on, even showing the red pin flags used at ANGC and the Masters in the 1960's. Weaver painted many golfing scenes throughout his life both in Britain and in the USA. Originals hang at notorious places such as St. Andrews and the USGA museum, this is one of his successfully reproduced Limited Edition prints. The 1960 Masters saw Arnold Palmer claim his second of 4 Masters titles, by one stroke over Ken Venturi. This print has some tape attached to the top and right side, though it does not detract from the presentation of the piece.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
