1979 Ryder Cup at The Greenbrier Program

A new era for the Ryder Cup had begun with the contest at Greenbrier in 1979. Players from continental Europe participated in the Ryder Cup in hopes of changing the extensive US dominance. With Seve on hand, the new Team Europe replaced Great Britain and Ireland as the official opposition to the United States. When all was said and done though, the United States dominated the competition by a score of 17 to 11 points. An impressive victory for the Americans, even with Nicklaus failing to make the team for the first time since becoming eligible in 1969. The program comes in great condition, with slight wear to the covers apparent.
