1993 George L. Coleman Invitational Seminole Contestant Pin
The George L. Coleman is one of the top Amateur tournaments in the country, played by leading mid-amateurs and senior amateurs. It honors the memory of its namesake who was President of Seminole from 1981 to 1992. An avid Sportsman and close friend of Ben Hogan. It was Coleman who was one of two men who arranged the famous "Match" at Pebble Beach in the late 1950's featuring Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson versus Harvie Ward and Ken Venturi. Here we have a contestant pin from the second year of the Coleman cup held at Seminole G.C.
