Proudly presented here is an exquisite offering from the golf architecture and publication categories - A.W. Tillinghast Signed 1915 'Cobble Valley Golf Yarns and Other Sketches' 1st ed. book. Gilt-lettered green cloth contains the writings of Tillinghast. From Baltusrol and Winged Foot Golf Club to Newport Country Club, fabled course architect A.W. Tillinghast's masterpieces totaled more than 265 golf courses when his career completed. Tillinghast In 2015 he became the 6th golf course architect in history to be inducted into the Golf Course Hall of Fame in the Life Time Achievement category. Signed in flowing time-period ink on the flyleaf under his notation "with best regards." Complete book is in good condition, with expected slight discoloring on title page and some wear on the inner binding as the cover is opened. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
