Proudly presented here is an exquisite offering from the golf architecture and publication categories - A.W. Tillinghast Signed 1925 'The Mutt - And Other Golf Yarns' 1st ed. book. Gilt-lettered red cloth contains the writings of Tillinghast. From Baltusrol and Winged Foot Golf Club to Newport Country Club, fabled course architect A.W. Tillinghast's masterpieces totaled more than 265 golf courses when his career completed. Tillinghast In 2015 he became the 6th golf course architect in history to be inducted into the Golf Course Hall of Fame in the Life Time Achievement category. Signed in flowing pencil on the flyleaf under his notation "with best regards." Complete book is in good condition, with expected slight discoloring on title page. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
