Arnold Palmer 1944 Freshman Yearbook With Book Plate Autograph
A story that Arnold Palmer loves to recount is of one of his biggest thrills, shooting 71 in his first high school match at the age of 14. The year was 1944 and "The King" was at Latrobe High School in Latrobe, PA. This lot captures those times with his freshman yearbook. Pictured three times including of course that memorable golf team which he would post a 71 for in his first match. Added to the front of this book is a Best Wishes umbrella logo book plate that Arnold has signed in black sharpie.
