Arnold Palmer 4-16-1969 Photo with Original Negative & Small Photo
Arnold Palmer was known for his "swashbuckling" style of play, often looking for distance over precision...but finding both more times than not. This Alex Morrison photo was captured fractions of a second prior to likely hitting his drive as hard as he could. This is dated three days after the conclusion of the 1969 Masters Tournament. Included in this lot is Alex Morrison's original black and white negative, along with a developed 8x10 and small photo.
Esteemed golf instructor Alex Morrison was behind many impressive game's, likely none more than that of Henry Picard's. The lineage to the Golden Bear is simple and complex, as Picard then taught Jack Grout, who taught Jack Nicklaus. Morrison was behind all of it, and much more as his teachings were in numerous books and newspapers for the masses. His reach in the golf industry went further, as Morrison became an acclaimed photographer and writer, each of which could have been his sole profession. Here is an original Morrison photo, with the influential figure the eye behind the camera that took it. 8" x 10"
