Arnold Palmer Signed Original 1/1 R&A Painting by Bill Waugh with Open Wins Notation
World-renown artist Bill Waugh's familiarity with the prized subject matter is evident in this stunning, vibrant depiction with great depth and detail after hundreds of bristle strokes capturing Arnold Palmer sitting on St. Andrew's Swlican Bridge. He knew that depicting the R & A Clubhouse and most famous bridge in golf would be different this time in 1996, as he would be presenting it to the subject in Arnold Palmer for signature of approval at a later date. Upon viewing Palmer carefully applied his bold, black sharpie signature with precision along with an additional welcomed inscription of his Open wins notations eight years after its completion. Arnold Palmer, like Waugh, was also very familiar with this storybook golf venue. Arnold Palmer's international reach was significantly aided by his success at the Open Championship. Bill Waugh has established himself as one of Golf's most influential international artists. Among his clients he can name many of the game's elite including Steve Ballesteros, Greg Norman, Gary Player and multiple U.S. Presidents. Waugh's calling card for decades has been depicting famous courses and their clubhouses in beautiful watercolors and oils. Such is his prowess that apart from his special commissions he has produced work for the Open, the U.S. Open, the Ryder Cup and famous clubs around the world. This original one of a kind painting is surely among his finest works of art, adorned by Arnie's stamp of approval! James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
Original painting by Bill Waugh in 1996, and was signed by Arnie at St. Andrews in 2004.

Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, June 20th. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its own countdown clock set for a 30-minute interval starting at 9pm ET. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
