Babe Didrikson Gifted 'Walter Hagen' Putter to Betty Dodd w/XOXO & B.D. Engraving
"BD XOXO BD" is engraved on the sole of this special 'Walter Hagen' signature putter, from Babe Didrikson to Betty Dodd. It was more than like initials that linked the two golfers that were very close. Dodd, Didrikson's protégé and the two great friends off of the course whether it is playing music or enjoying social hour, the two were inseparable. A gooseneck is exhibited on this Didrikson to Dodd putter that would be engraved and then gifted. This comes from The Babe Zaharias Foundation's collection by way of the estate. A signed letter from the founder of the Zaharias Golf Foundation, Hal Shaw, will accompany this lot. 34 1/2"
