Ben Hogan Signed 'Power Golf' Book - 1948
Copyright 1948, A.S. Barnes & Company. This 12th printing 1948 tutorial on golf by Ben Hogan was highly acclaimed. A classic just like the player himself whose nine career professional major championships tie him (with Gary Player) for fourth all-time, trailing only Jack Nicklaus (18), Tiger Woods (14) and Walter Hagen (11). Furthermore, he is one of only five golfers to have won all four major championships currently open to professionals (the Masters Tournament, the British Open, the U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship), the other four being Nicklaus, Woods, Player, and Gene Sarazen. This book remains in strong near mint condition sans with dust jacket in place (slight chip to upper left corner of jacket). The ever precise Hogan was just that in forming his signature placed with blue ink pen inside this work. Truly one you can be proud to add to your golf library. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature of Ben Hogan which appears to be an earlier autograph from "The Hawk", and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot
