Bethpage - The Black Course Hand Painted Wood Warning Sign

With the size of 24" x 36," there was hope that this sign would catch the eye of each potential player looking to tee it up on Bethpage Black, famed for its difficulty. This painted sign articulates concerns that course management had regarding players undertaking playing the course without the highest level of skills - Warning - The Black Course Is An Extremely Difficult Course We Recommend Only For Highly Skilled Golfers. This lot presents a piece of that history, being for public consumption from this Major Championship course (Site of Tiger's 2001 U.S. Open win, and this years PGA Championship). The content is appealing, considering appearances of some subtle overall wear and slight weathering, but still boasts vibrant and dark colors. This sign presents well and will surely be a talking piece in any collection. A signed letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, May 19th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
