Here is a golfing group that anyone would have wanted to be a part of. Alex Morrison took advantage of a pre-tee shot lull in action during a round that included the day's ultimate entertainer in Bing Crosby, photographing the group with the familiar face second to the right. Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby Jr. was an American singer and actor, and was host of the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am Clambake. The first multimedia star, he was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century worldwide. He was a leader in record sales, radio ratings, and motion picture grosses from 1926 to 1977.
Esteemed golf instructor Alex Morrison was behind many impressive game's, likely none more than that of Henry Picard's. The lineage to the Golden Bear is simple and complex, as Picard then taught Jack Grout, who taught Jack Nicklaus. Morrison was behind all of it, and much more as his teachings were in numerous books and newspapers for the masses. His reach in the golf industry went further, as Morrison became an acclaimed photographer and writer, each of which could have been his sole profession.
