Bobby Jones Signed 1931 Exhibition at Camargo Club Ticket JSA Full - Excellent Condition
Thirty-five hundred spectators saw Bobby Jones play an exhibition match at the "well-groomed Indian Hill Layout" at the Camarago Club in Cincinnati. The exhibition took place less than a year after completing his Grand Slam of golf, winning each of the pre-Masters majors in the same year. Those tournaments included the US Amateur and British Amateur, as well as the US and Open Championship. The Camargo Club exhibition was conducted under the auspices of the local Junior League for the benefit of charity. During the exhibition match Miss Edith Quier shot the lowest round for a female golfer Cincinatti had ever seen that day, recording a round of 80. Bobby Jones played side-by-side with friend Watts Gunn and female golfers Marion Bennett and Quier. The great Bobby Jones, whilst enjoying retirement from the game of golf, fittingly carded a 73 to win the exhibition match. Of high presentation value is this ticket that grades very good condition and features a prominent "BOBBY" JONES printed text accross the middle of the ticket. It has the pertinent information from the day, with the $2.00 patron cost and unique serial number "5608" near the base. The front of this ticket is adorned by a full, dark Robert T. Jones Jr. fountain pen signature in "Position A" center cut. The original string is attached. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their full letter of authentication #Z98914 comes with this lot. 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
