Byron Nelson '4/11/1942' Original 8x10 Photo

Offered here is an 8" x 10" original photo of Byron Nelson. He is shown smiling as he marks his score down and the date "4/11/1942" is marked on the back. While Nelson cut his own career short, by retiring at age 34, he didn't fail to leave his mark on the game. In 1945, Nelson won 11 consecutive tournaments and 18 out of the 35 possible tournaments in a shortened season due to the war. His name is now attached to the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, the first PGA Tour event to be named after a professional golfer.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, August 6th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
