The 1940 publication GOLFMASTERS...A SURE WAY TO BETTER GOLF featured among its 14 champion golf instructors five of the first seven Champions of the Masters Tournament lending there advice on various aspects of the golf game. Included among that elite list is 1941 Masters champ Craig Wood. Inside next to three sentences of advice Craig Wood has inscribed his autograph. Wood followed up his 1941 Masters title with the 1941 U.S.Open Championship to become the first player to win the first two Majors(as we know them today)of the year. The signature of Wood, who passed in 1968, is viewed by most as only eclipsed by Claude Harmon as most valuable among Masters Champs. This book makes an interesting read on early club play from the days of hickory clubs, with a difficult autograph of Craig Wood that comes with a JSA Letter of Authenticity (James Spence Authentication).
