Dom Lupo Wood Framed Art Piece - Bobby Jones Post Swing in Blue Shirt
This lot presents framed artwork measuring 19 1/8" x 16" depicting Bobby Jones post swing. Jones was the founder and designer of Augusta National Golf Club and co-founder of the Masters. The artist Dom Lupo was born on May 27, 1919, to immigrant parents. In the mid 1960's he turned his talent exclusively to golf artwork and became Golf Magazine's lead illustrator for the next 25 years. Dom's artwork graces the pages of over 30 books for many of the world's leading golfers, including two for his wife, Maxine, and his paintings include 10 years of golf inductees into the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, FL. He was voted in as a member of the elite "Society of Illustrators" in New York in 1954, where he retained his membership up until his death.
