Early 1800's Unknown Maker Chole Club

This circa 1800's Chole club is certainly unlike any many golf fans have ever seen before. The elongated face would be for driving while the other curved/hooked end is for shots that need some loft. Golf is believed to have been derived from a game called “chole”, a form of hockey that started gaining popularity in Belgium in the middle of the 14th century. An extraordinary club with it's own very unique history, a sure conversation starter as part of any collection. The club offered here measures 38 1/2" to the heel and comes in overall good condition. As notated on the attached information card this club has an ash shaft, cord grip and two faces together.

If you would like any additional pictures of the club we would be happy to to supply them, please inquire prior to February 3rd for sufficient time to guarantee a thorough response. Please use the attached card as merely a reference tool, as we have done additional research to best determine age of these vintage clubs and present them as such.
