Framed 1991 Walker Cup Poster Signed By Both Teams
From the personal collection of 1991 United States Walker Cup team member David Eger comes this deluxe framed to 20" x 43" poster. Eger would help pace the United States to a 14-10 win over Great Britain & Ireland with a 3 & 2 singles win over hometown boy Padraig Harrington. The piece displays an aerial view of the Portmarnock Golf Club outside Dublin, Ireland where the matches were contested. Around the border is included in gold paint pen the signatures of all participants on both squads including future stars Phil Mickelson, David Duval, Paul McGinley and Harrington. The 1991 Walker Cup is best known for the performance of the United States top amateur Mickelson who was appearing for the second time in the Walker Cup. To find available this extremely limited item, from a contestant to boot, is an exciting opportunity.
