Frank Stranahan's 1949 Kansas City Open Third Amateur Sterling Silver Pitcher

The moon and stars must have aligned just right this day for the two amateurs that bested Frank Stranahan in the 1949 Kansas City Open. In this time frame of his career it was plain hard to find any one amateur much less two in any part of the world that could best Frank's golf game. This is one trophy that you will probably never find a picture of Stranahan standing proudly next too, but in its defense it is one of Stranny's and it does have alot of silver content. This combination still makes this lot unlike Stranahan that day a winner. Engraving on trophy follows:
